About The Position

The Live Answering Receptionist is the first point of contact for our clients, families, and caregivers. In this role, you will manage all incoming calls with warmth, professionalism, and accuracy — ensuring every caller receives the exceptional service that defines Open Arms Solutions. You’ll play a key role in connecting callers to the right department, triaging urgent needs, and maintaining smooth communication across the organization.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a receptionist, call center, or administrative support role (home care or healthcare experience preferred).
  • Exceptional verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong multitasking ability and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM/phone systems, and scheduling software.
  • Professional, patient, and compassionate demeanor aligned with our company’s values.

Responsibilities

  • Answer a high volume of calls live during business hours with professionalism, empathy, and clarity.
  • Direct calls and messages to appropriate departments (client services, scheduling, HR, billing, etc.).
  • Track and log call details, messages, and follow-ups in our system.
  • Respond to general inquiries about services and direct potential clients to intake specialists.
  • Coordinate with the care management and scheduling teams to relay urgent client or caregiver updates.
  • Maintain a calm and supportive tone, even in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
  • Support administrative functions as needed, including updating contact lists and inbox management.
