The position involves networking with faculty, students, and leading scientists, facilitating undergraduate research experiences, and collaborating with faculty, staff, peers, and industry leaders to build a community of practice. The role includes assisting in the execution of events and programming, such as workshops, seminars, guest lectures, and social events. Additionally, the position requires curating and managing content for Impact Academy social media accounts to promote upcoming events, share student achievements, and foster a sense of community. Administrative tasks assigned by the Director of Impact Academy must also be completed, along with collaborating with the Director to update and share progress in research development. Active engagement in regular workshops and professional development activities during the summer and academic year is expected, as well as coaching and mentoring cohort members using various strategies to build their confidence and competency. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
