About The Position
The LITS Events and Engagement Student Worker works closely with the members of the LITS Events and Engagement Committee to help with planning, production, and promotion of library events and outreach initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creativity and proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud)
- Experience creating content for social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Dependable, with keen attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Physical ability to stand for up to 3 hours; bend, lift up to 25 pounds; push a loaded book cart
- Must have a work award and be able to work at least 3 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Managing LITS social media
- Creating library displays
- Assisting with LITS events and outreach
- Capturing media for, or writing content for, LITS promotional materials
- Other duties, as assigned
