We are seeking a Litigation Support Manager to provide strategic and operational management of the litigation paralegal team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal support across all litigation matters. This role involves fostering professional development, aligning paralegal resources with the firm’s broader litigation goals, and serving as a key liaison between attorneys, paralegals, and administrative leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certification or advanced legal training preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of litigation paralegal experience in the legal or professional services industry, with at least five years of managerial experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of litigation procedures, discovery rules, trial preparation, and court filing systems.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex workflows, and drive operational excellence.
  • Experience with litigation support software (e.g., Relativity, CaseMap, Concordance, TrialDirector, PACER).
  • Proven experience managing trial logistics.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Experience in leading large-scale legal projects from conception to completion.
  • Understanding of the legal tech landscape, including AI tools and cloud-based solutions.
  • Excellent communication, oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and legal professionals to apply technology solutions that improve service delivery.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines and business objectives.
  • Strong customer service acumen.
  • Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage paralegal support for all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Ensure consistent quality and timeliness in all paralegal work, from document review and court filings to exhibit preparation.
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
  • Develop strategies for paralegal workflow, case assignment, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and client service.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between paralegals and attorneys to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Collaborate with partners to forecast staffing needs for new and active cases.
  • Design, implement, and lead a comprehensive training program for new and existing staff.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Assist in the development and management of the department budget.
  • Manage vendor relationships related to litigation support services.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the firm's litigation practice and industry trends.
  • Participate in or lead special projects assigned by firm leadership.
