About The Position

Key Responsibilities: Client Communication: Engage with clients to collect case-related information and documents in both English and Spanish. Coordination: Organize and schedule depositions, mediations, and meetings with clients and witnesses. Document Management: Obtain and manage medical records, bills, and affidavits; prepare medical record chronologies and billing summaries. Expert Coordination: Liaise with expert witnesses and coordinate their involvement. Discovery: Prepare document production logs, deposition summaries, and other discovery summaries. Draft standard discovery requests, objections, and responses. File Management: Organize and maintain case files throughout the litigation process. Research: Conduct basic research projects as needed. Trial Preparation: Assist in preparing deposition, mediation, and trial notebooks; support trial preparation and trial proceedings. Qualifications and Skills: Education & Experience: Paralegal certificate or degree preferred; minimum of five years of paralegal experience required. Language Skills: Fluency in Spanish (both spoken and written) is preferred. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently under time constraints, with a keen eye for detail. Writing Skills: Strong business writing skills; adept at preparing documents and proofreading for accuracy, grammar, and clarity. Interpersonal Skills: Effective communicator with the ability to interact professionally in person, in writing, and by telephone. Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Kofax. Ability to quickly learn new technology. Additional Skills (Preferred): Experience with Trial Director or other trial presentation software and/or e-discovery review tools is a plus. Requirements
