About The Position

Segal McCambridge, a nationally recognized litigation firm, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support its Pennsylvania practice. This position offers flexibility to work out of our Pittsburgh or Philadelphia offices. Requirements

  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred
  • 2+ year of experience supporting civil defense litigation, including: Drafting and managing pleadings and discovery; Document review and production; Litigation calendaring and deadline management
  • Strong writing, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines efficiently
  • Professional and confident communication skills
  • Proactive mindset with attention to detail and follow-through

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with asbestos, toxic tort, products liability, or insurance defense is a plus
  • Familiarity with mediations and arbitrations is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with day-to-day case management and litigation support
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and discovery responses
  • Coordinate and manage document production, including e-discovery
  • Conduct factual and legal research under attorney supervision
  • Assist with deposition and trial preparation, including exhibits and witness files
  • Track deadlines and maintain litigation calendars to ensure compliance with court rules
  • Prepare client and insurance carrier reports and correspondence
  • Support attorneys during mediations, arbitrations, and hearings
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors
