OPPORTUNITY | Paralegal   Our Pasadena, CA office seeks a well-rounded, highly-motivated, experienced Litigation Paralegal to support defense litigation. This is an exceptional opportunity to handle a variety of litigation support responsibilities including managing all phases of the discovery process in a forward-thinking firm, an expanding California office. Familiarity with case management software or legal billing systems is a must. The salary range for this position is $65K - $75K, commensurate with experience for 3 - 5 years attorney. A Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved program is preferred but not required.  moved from below, and consider adding another mention of a degree, Bachelor’s degree is a plus.      

Requirements

  • knowledge of electronic filing procedures in California state and federal courts in California
  • strong legal research and writing skills
  • working knowledge of docketing and calendaring deadlines
  • organize, prioritize, and implement urgent tasks with strong attention to detail
  • experience in drafting and responding to discovery
  • provide excellent written and verbal communication
  • remain self-directed, self-motivated, and effectively work under tight time constraints
  • ability to consistently create and deliver quality work products
  • experience with case management systems (e.g., iManage, Time Matters, Clio, etc.)
  • proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and PDF maker (Nuance or Adobe Pro); demonstrated efficiency navigating the internet
