Our over 6,000 employees are all united by one mission: For the People. Summary We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Employment Law department. In this role as a Paralegal, you will work closely with a talented attorney in providing litigation support. Successful candidates will be responsible for areas including but not limited to the following.

Requirements

  • Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred)
  • At least 2+ years of working experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
  • Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred)
  • General Litigation Experience, preferably in federal court
  • Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures, practices
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Not remote eligible

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred)
  • Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
  • Interface with Administrative Agencies, including EEOC
  • E-file court documents in federal and state court
  • Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses
  • Draft and serve summons
  • Coordinate depositions
  • Prepare deposition and hearing binders and exhibits
  • Drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court
  • Interfacing with clients to keep them apprised of the status of their case and to obtain documents needed for discovery
  • Gather relevant information from a variety of sources
  • Liaise between the attorneys and internal/external third parties, including co-counsel, counsel for defendants, and the courts
