About The Position

SourcePro Search is conducting a search for an experienced Litigation Paralegal for our top rated law firm client to join their New York team. What You'll Do: Case maintenance (organization of files such as correspondence, pleadings, discovery, etc.) Utilize ECF/PACER to retrieve dockets and court filings Prepare documents for e-filings including but not limited to NY Supreme. Work with large document productions, including production logs and privilege logs Assist with document reviews Assist in all aspects of depositions (assembling binders/preparing exhibits) Digest/summarize deposition transcripts Utilize Lexis and Westlaw to perform legal research and retrieve case law Cite check (bluebooking), shepardize and proof-read briefs and other court documents Prepare for and support trials and arbitrations What You'll Bring: Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate a plus 5+ years litigation paralegal work experience Strong organizational skills, including an ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, be accountable and work well under time sensitive deadlines Demonstrate written and oral communication skills Strong editing and proofreading skills Solid working knowledge of all aspects of trials Proficient in Relativity, West Case Notebook and/or other databases Proficiency with PowerPoint a plus Travel and overtime required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate a plus
  • 5+ years litigation paralegal work experience
  • Strong organizational skills, including an ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, be accountable and work well under time sensitive deadlines
  • Demonstrate written and oral communication skills
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills
  • Solid working knowledge of all aspects of trials
  • Proficient in Relativity, West Case Notebook and/or other databases
  • Travel and overtime required

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with PowerPoint a plus
