About The Position

The University of Alabama System is receiving applications for the position of Litigation Paralegal. This is an on-site position based in Birmingham on the campus of The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). The Litigation Paralegal provides litigation support to multiple University Counsel and the Litigation Coordinator in the UAB Office of Counsel under limited supervision.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible litigation experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree
• Paralegal certification from an accredited program
• Previous experience in healthcare litigation

Responsibilities

• Assist with calendaring key deadlines
• Assist with third-party subpoena responses
• Assist with preservation requests and litigation holds
• Assist with document production for litigation and pre-litigation matters
• Coordinate meetings with key personnel as requested by subpoena or otherwise
