About The Position

Maintain detailed records, create, prepare and process legal documentation under direction of counsel. Responsible for legal support activities related to legal operations, litigation, discovery, billing and/or settlements. Work closely with team managers, other senior management and legal peers to complete tasks assigned, including to execute, review, process and track legal documentation and complete varied work requests that may be complex in nature and have tight deadlines, including with respect to case management and regulatory and civil subpoenas. Prepare reports and conduct administrative legal work, including contributing to the collection of data for reports to regulators, third parties and internal stakeholders. May be required to conduct independent research, while applying institutional knowledge and staying abreast of new and changing legal issues and industry initiatives.

Requirements

  • 4 - 8 years of relevant industry experience, preferably with some experience working in a corporate legal department or law firm
  • Ability to manage complex documentation with organization and detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as project management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of legal customs and practices
  • Knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry

  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience preferred.
