About The Position

Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz PC is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Support Coordinator with abundant litigation experience to join our Nashville office. This full‑time position provides essential legal and administrative support to attorneys in a fast‑paced, high‑volume litigation practice. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail‑oriented, professional, and committed to excellence in legal services. This is an in-office position, with the possibility of one remote day per week after one year of employment.

Requirements

  • Litigation experience required, including e‑filing with state and federal courts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word (high priority), Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to type 65+ words per minute with high accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients, counsel, and court personnel.
  • Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or within a collaborative legal team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A proactive, self‑starter mindset with strong organizational skills.
  • Flexible, positive, and willing to “pitch in” as needed.
  • Approachable and team‑oriented with a strong work ethic.

  • Experience with PDF editing tools (Adobe Acrobat preferred)
  • Comfort with case management or docketing systems
  • Knowledge of scanning/imaging software used for file organization

Responsibilities

  • Format and prepare litigation documents including briefs, pleadings, discovery, motions, correspondence, and various trial materials.
  • Create shell documents for attorneys to streamline drafting and filing.
  • File legal documents with state and federal courts; electronic filing (e‑filing) experience is required.
  • Proofread all documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to distribution or filing.
  • Maintain and update client files in a timely and organized manner.
  • Review and update litigation calendars, docket deadlines, and key dates.
  • Prioritize and execute tasks assigned by attorneys while maintaining excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Review vendor invoices, prepare check requests, and coordinate timely submission to billing or clients.
  • Support attorneys and paralegals in trial preparation, including assembling exhibits, organizing notebooks, and handling logistical needs.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as copying, emailing, scheduling, file organization, and time entry.
