About The Position

A Charlotte corporate law firm seeks a litigation practice assistant to provide administrative support to attorneys.

Requirements

  • Be an enthusiastic self-starter
  • Excellent MS Office, typing, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work.
  • Must be able to handle deadlines and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must have a professional demeanor in order to work well with all levels of staff, attorneys and our clients.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to work well under pressure and, at times, more than the standard work schedule in order to accomplish responsibilities of the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in employment and general litigation is a plus.
  • 4 year degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Time entry.
  • Prepare correspondence with clients and external counsel.
  • Format and prepare multi-state and federal legal filings.
  • File legal documents (including e-filing).
  • Perform docket management.
  • Make travel arrangements.
  • Scheduling/calendaring.
  • Draft discovery including document production, etc...
