Requirements

  • Utilizing your 3-5 years of experience of working in a team-oriented law firm environment, supporting multiple attorneys
  • Having knowledge of Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure and Appellate Procedure, and filing in Federal, State and US Appellate Courts
  • Having experience with the following software: PACER, CM/ECF/Colorado Courts E-Filing, Sharefile, Drop Box, TrueFiling and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Having an eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communicating effectively with various types of people, from attorneys to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of a team of legal assistants with 5-7 attorneys on your desk
  • Prepare, finalize, and submit court filings
  • Maintain scheduling/docket calendars for hearings, conferences and mediations.
  • Prepare correspondence, memorandum and other legal documents to include proofreading, formatting, and file management
  • Conduct conflict checks and open new matters
  • Enter and review attorney time and pre-bills
  • Manage calendars, CLE, and submit expenses for reimbursement
  • Provide backup support for reception as needed
  • Have client interaction as appropriate
  • Additional administrative responsibilities will be required
