About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Litigation Legal Assistant with a minimum of two (2) years of litigation experience in a law firm setting. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in all phases of civil litigation, from case inception through trial preparation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience in a law firm
  • Strong knowledge of court rules and filing procedures
  • Experience with e-filing in state and federal courts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Experience with legal case management software preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • Trial preparation experience
  • Familiarity with discovery procedures
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple attorneys

Responsibilities

  • Draft, format, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence
  • E-file documents in state and federal courts
  • Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, and scheduling
  • Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
  • Prepare and organize exhibits, trial binders, and case files
  • Maintain case management systems and document databases
  • Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel
  • Assist with discovery, including document production and review
  • Track billable time and assist with billing as needed
