We’re looking for a Litigation Case Manager/Paralegal to partner closely with our Litigation Attorneys and help drive personal injury cases from active litigation through resolution. Who We Are HLG is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people who have been injured or disabled. If you’re looking for more than a daily grind where what you do matters, we’re looking for you. What You’ll Do As a Litigation Case Manager/Paralegal, you will maintain an active caseload and serve as a key driver in ensuring each matter progresses efficiently and strategically toward mediation, settlement, or trial. Managing litigation deadlines, including setting reminders for motions, pleadings, discovery, and court requirements. Drafting and filing standard motions and pleadings in a timely manner. Completing and coordinating discovery, including plaintiff discovery, standard discovery to defendants, and non-party discovery (e.g., cell phone carriers, defense experts, insurance carriers). Preparing medical binders and organizing evidence for mediation and trial. Scheduling depositions and mediation. Verifying and addressing potential liens. Ensuring all discovery is received and answered prior to depositions. Delegating medical records, billing, and balance requests to the Legal Assistant and overseeing follow-through. Reviewing incoming mail and ensuring appropriate action or attorney review. Maintaining detailed case notes in the case management system in accordance with firm procedures. Following established trial preparation checklists and notifying the Litigation Attorney of any case developments or concerns. Closing cases in the system upon final settlement or satisfaction of judgment. This role requires strong ownership of your caseload, consistent communication, and a commitment to keeping cases moving forward without sacrificing accuracy. Who You Are You’re organized, adaptable, and confident in managing multiple priorities at once. You take initiative and understand that litigation is deadline-driven and detail-heavy, requiring both precision and proactive communication. You bring strong time management and project management skills, a sharp attention to detail, and the self-motivation to handle a substantial caseload in a fast-paced environment. You think critically, anticipate next steps, and communicate consistently and professionally with clients, attorneys, court staff, and opposing counsel. Above all, you take pride in keeping complex cases organized, documented, and moving forward smoothly.
