About The Position

Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP is seeking a Career Associate with 7+ years of civil litigation experience (including some Employment Litigation experience) to join our Litigation Business Unit, in the Seattle office. Our Career Associate program offers top legal talent an alternative to the partner track while still providing opportunities to do cutting-edge and deeply substantive legal work. Lawyers join us as Career Associates at many stages, from recent graduates to more senior lawyers who join after practicing in other settings. These are rewarding roles if you share our passion for practicing law and delivering excellent service but seek a lower annual time commitment.

Requirements

• 7+ years of civil litigation experience, including Employment litigation.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Outstanding interpersonal, writing, and communication skills.
• A writing sample is required.

Responsibilities

• General case team support.
• Strong research skills.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents.
• Handling discovery tasks, including e-discovery.
• Case and project management.
• Deposition and trial preparation projects.
• The ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
