About The Position

Trueline is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join their dynamic and collaborative litigation team in Long Beach, CA, in the Insurance Defense/Personal Injury field and offering a really flexible hybrid schedule.

Requirements

  • Active California Bar license, in good standing.
  • Minimum 3-7 years of litigation experience, ideally including insurance defense or personal injury matters.
  • Excellent legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and case management platforms (e.g., NetDocuments, Centerbase).
  • Ability to prioritize multiple matters independently while remaining a strong team player.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in complex litigation or other areas such as corporate or construction law.
  • Hands-on trial experience or courtroom advocacy background.
  • Enthusiasm for mentorship, professional development, and long-term firm growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of litigation including case strategy, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, and trial prep across a diverse docket—especially personal injury and insurance defense.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and draft persuasive pleadings, motions, and discovery-related documents.
  • Prepare and defend clients in depositions; take fact and expert witness depositions with strategic focus.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff on trial prep, site investigations, and evidentiary hearings.
