About The Position

Traub Lieberman Straus & Shrewsberry is seeking a Litigation Associate (1-5 years) to join the General Liability practice group in our Watertown, Connecticut office. The role involves all phases of civil lawsuits with Partner oversight, including client contact, investigation, pleadings, discovery, motions, and mediations. The associate will regularly handle court appearances, depositions, and hearings, and will be responsible for communicating with clients and claims professionals and providing status reports to relevant team members. The ideal candidate should be dependable, organized, hardworking, and motivated to take ownership of tasks and grow their skills as an attorney. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or practicing attorney who is interested in joining a dynamic and collegial team in a national law firm. Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Connecticut and New York, or soon to be admitted.
  • 1-5 years of litigation experience preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with Connecticut and New York rules, civil procedure, and court practice.
  • Superior writing, research, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Defense experience in one or more (preferred) of the following areas:
  • General liability
  • Premises liability
  • Motor vehicle/trucking liability
  • Construction litigation
