You will independently manage your own caseload from inception to conclusion, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests while meticulously adhering to deadlines. Your day will include preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, and trials, providing you with invaluable courtroom experience. Collaboration is essential; you'll engage closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to devise effective litigation strategies. Regular communication will keep clients informed with status updates and written reports, all while conducting comprehensive legal research and writing memoranda to bolster case strategies. Working alongside seasoned partners and senior attorneys, you'll ensure smooth case management, enhancing your professional skills in a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Admitted to the Connecticut State Bar or have an adequate UBE score for admission to the jurisdiction
  • 3 to 8 years of litigation experience preferably in insurance defense or closely related practice area
  • Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions
  • Strong capabilities in performing thorough legal research and responding effectively to discovery requests
  • Strong advocacy skills
