About The Position

The Dallas office of Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP seeks a Litigation Associate with a minimum of 1 year of general litigation experience. The individual hired for this position will be responsible for handling most aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings and motions; legal research; arguing hearings; managing discovery requests and responses; taking and defending depositions; and assisting with trial preparations and trial. Requirements

1-9 years of experience
Admission to the Texas Bar
Possess a JD from an accredited law school and a strong academic record
Excellent credentials
Legal research, drafting legal documents, conducting discovery, coordinating with local counsel, and generally defending against litigation
Excellent research and organizational skills; strong verbal and written communication abilities
Must be a self-starter, have the ability to prioritize workload, display good judgment, and work well under pressure

Nice To Haves

Courtroom and deposition experience preferred but not required
More senior candidates should have substantial experience managing the various aspects of a commercial lawsuit from start to finish.
More junior candidates should have an exceptional academic record.
