About The Position

Hogan Lovells is seeking an outstanding mid-to-senior level associate to join our highly regarded Consumer Products practice in our San Francisco, Silicon Valley, or Los Angeles offices. Ideal candidates should have five to eight years of litigation experience. This attorney will principally represent consumer product companies in responding to private plaintiff demand letters and government inquiries involving California Proposition 65 and related issues. Secondarily, this position will assist in litigating consumer class actions alleging false advertising, consumer deception, and regulatory non-compliance. This position will afford the associate the opportunity to work directly with clients and opposing counsel, to gain experience working with leaders in the field, and to join a growing, global team of subject-matter specialists. Although not required, preferred candidates will have experience with a wide range of industries, including foods, supplements, cleaning products, technology services, OTC drugs, and personal care/cosmetics. All candidates should be comfortable interacting directly with clients. Experience with issues involving FTC, NAD, FDCA, CPSC, slack fill, greenwashing, etc., is a significant plus, but not a requirement. Strong research and writing skills, excellent academic credentials, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to excellence are required. Further, candidates should be experienced in working efficiently with both litigation associates and subject matter specialists. Membership to the California Bar or eligibility to waive in is a must. Candidates for lawyer opportunities in the U.S. must have a law degree from an ABA-accredited law school. The expected base salary range for this role is $365,000 to $435,000 per year. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of pay at the time of posting; the actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications. This position is eligible for additional forms of compensation, which may include annual performance bonuses and discretionary bonuses. Employees in this role are also eligible for benefits offered by the firm, subject to applicable plan terms and conditions, which currently include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; and paid time off. Requirements
