Litigation Associate Attorney
About The Position
Tucker Ellis LLP is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Mass Tort and Product Liability practice in our growing Los Angeles office. This position offers a hybrid schedule and an opportunity to work alongside an award-winning trial team on complex, high-stakes litigation. About the Role Due to the continued growth of our practice, we are looking for an associate with 2-7 years of experience in mass torts or product liability litigation. In this role, you will gain hands-on trial experience working with a nationally recognized trial team that has successfully defended Fortune companies in some of the country’s most challenging venues.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- 2-7 years of experience in mass torts and/or product liability litigation preferred
- Might be willing to consider candidates with experience in other defense litigation practice areas within the 2–7-year range
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Experience drafting motions, taking and defending depositions, and handling discovery
- Admitted to practice in California
Nice To Haves
- Trial experience or interest in trial work is a plus
Responsibilities
- Draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and analysis for case strategy
- Take and defend depositions
- Participate in all stages of trial preparation, including discovery, witness preparation, and courtroom advocacy
- Assist in developing case strategy and client counseling
- Handle court appearances and argue motions as needed
- Collaborate with partners and senior associates on complex litigation matters
