HERS Advisors has partnered with a growing full-service law firm in Downtown Los Angeles, California (hybrid) who has an immediate need for a Litigation Assistant to support three Partners. Responsibilities for Litigation Assistant: Open, maintain and close client files. Organize and maintain filing and retrieval systems. eFiling in the state and federal courts. Assist in the preparation and filing of regulatory documents and compliance reports. Manage calendars, organize and schedule external and internal meetings, teleconferences, networking events, etc. Handle extensive client contact, both via phone, email, and in-person. Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and redline comparisons for correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, format, syntax, and content. Maintain attorney credit card reconciliations, time entry, and other internal procedures. Requirements for Litigation Assistant: 3+ years of law firm administrative support experience working as a litigation assistant or legal secretary. eFiling in the state and federal courts. Prior experience with commercial litigation, including drafting legal documents, managing case files, preparing discovery materials, and organizing exhibit binders is required. Strong production skills with ability to produce accurate work product when transcribing tapes, formatting documents, inputting data, editing, copying, scanning and transmitting text, data and graphics is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Internet research skills, document management systems, and attorney time entry software is required. Salary range: 80-95k.
