About The Position

The full-time faculty member at Central Baptist College is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering student success, and contributing to the academic integrity of their department. Responsibilities

  • Teach 15 credit hours per semester, ensuring alignment with departmental and institutional learning objectives.
  • Develop and maintain organized course materials that align with student learning outcomes.
  • Utilize effective teaching methodologies to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Assess student achievement of course learning outcomes and implement improvements based on assessment data.
  • Effectively utilize the institution's Learning Management System (LMS) for course content delivery and student progress tracking.
  • Provide academic advising to assigned students, supporting their educational and career goals.
  • Use Dropout Detective as a retention tool to monitor student progress and proactively address academic concerns.
  • Encourage student engagement through mentorship and active participation in academic and extracurricular activities.
  • Address student concerns in a timely and professional manner, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Assist in achieving departmental goals and initiatives as directed by the department chair.
  • Actively participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and institutional assessment efforts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on program development and interdisciplinary initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with accreditation standards, institutional policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness and curriculum delivery.
  • Set annual professional goals and assess progress in consultation with the department chair.
  • Participate in faculty evaluations and use feedback for continuous improvement.
