Kingsley Montessori School is a toddler through sixth grade independent school of 300 students in Boston’s historic Back Bay. The Literacy Specialist provides differentiated and targeted instruction, intervention, and assessment in grades K to 3 through a combination of intervention and classroom collaboration. The candidate must possess an understanding of students with diverse learning profiles and should be familiar with neuropsychological and educational evaluations as well as creating and working with differentiated student learning plans. Additionally, the candidate must have a strong background in working with teachers to modify their instruction to meet students’ needs. Finally, the candidate should be confident partnering with families guiding them in understanding how to support their child’s learning both in and out of school.
