About The Position

Requirements

• Master's degree in education or above preferred.
• Teacher certification or endorsement in Reading, English, or Curriculum and Instruction preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of successful teaching experience in K-12 educational settings.
• Instructional coaching experience of three or more years preferred.
• Current or in-process Reading endorsement.
• Current or in-process ESOL endorsement.
• Completed or in-process ESE state-required coursework.
• Proficiency in instructional technology and educational digital platforms.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Montessori philosophy and holistic education approaches.
• Familiarity with evidence-based best practices in literacy instruction.
• Experience in leading professional learning communities (PLCs).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with instructional leaders and staff to provide literacy services for K-12 students.
• Lead teachers and administrators in advancing literacy practices and student performance.
• Support teachers in delivering high-quality core instruction with aligned tiered supports.
• Ensure educational programs meet state standards and yield high student achievement.
• Provide job-embedded support and coaching to improve instructional practices.
• Engage in co-teaching, common planning, and mentoring to build teacher capacity.
• Develop and implement high-quality reading interventions tailored to student needs.
• Facilitate professional learning on major reading components and differentiated instruction.
• Conduct classroom walkthroughs and provide feedback on instructional practices.
• Assist in analyzing student performance data to identify achievement gaps and create action plans.
