About The Position

KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks academic interventionists who will focus on literacy for students at a K-8 school. The interventionist focuses on supporting students as an extra layer of support beyond their core academic instruction. The interventionist role includes but is not limited to, pulling small groups, tracking academic progress, ensuring students are accessing blended learning pieces that support their growth, partnering with classroom teachers to ensure student interventions are effective, and other duties as assigned. All teachers are responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, implementing our curriculum, assessing students, collaborating with their team, building relationships with our families, and other duties as assigned. Full teacher responsibilities are ultimately outlined by their School Leader. Depending on the grade levels the interventionist works with, the model and schedule can vary slightly. While KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools does employ academic interventionists in our schools, we are aiming to expand our support with Title 1 funding. This role is funded by Title 1 resources.
