About The Position

Kolbe Cathedral Preparatory School seeks a dedicated and dynamic Literacy Interventionist and Instructional Coach to foster significant student growth in literacy. This pivotal role involves providing targeted small group instruction (intervention and enrichment) based on comprehensive data analysis, collaborating closely with English Language Arts (ELA) teachers to implement exemplary instructional practices and a rigorous, grade-level curriculum, and contributing to a collaborative leadership team focused on holistic student success. The Interventionist and Coach will also play a key role in planning and facilitating the Freshman Academy, a program designed to equip students with essential Executive Functioning skills for academic achievement.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in English Education, Reading Education, or a closely related field.
• Current Connecticut Teaching Certification in English or Reading, or an equivalent teaching certification from another state.
• Demonstrated successful experience working with diverse student populations in an educational setting.
• Strong familiarity with data-driven instruction and assessment practices, including the ability to analyze and interpret various forms of student data.
• Proven experience in instructional coaching, mentoring, or providing professional development to teachers.
• Practicing Roman Catholic, in good standing
