About The Position

The Literacy Facilitator provides leadership and oversight for districtwide literacy improvement efforts. This role supports Literacy Specialists assigned to schools, ensuring alignment to district goals, fidelity of implementation of literacy practices, and effective support for students and teachers. The facilitator builds teacher and leader capacity in evidence-based literacy instruction, monitors data to inform decision-making, and collaborates with school and district leadership teams to close literacy gaps and accelerate student achievement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Reading or a related field
• Valid teaching certification/licensure
• Demonstrated knowledge of the science of reading and structured literacy approaches
• A minimum of three years experience as a classroom teacher
• Training in Orton-Gillingham, LETRS, or similar structured reading programs
• Experience implementing evidence-based reading interventions
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
