About The Position
Palm Beach Preparatory Charter Academy in Palm Springs, FL is seeking a Literacy Coach/Reading Teacher! The Literacy Coach/Reading Teacher is responsible for observing instructional delivery of Literacy and providing feedback that will enhance teacher development and supporting teachers in developing lesson plans, analyzing data and the sharing of best practices. The Literacy Coach/Reading Teacher will have a hands-on approach to improving instruction and effectiveness, by working at various levels (system-wide, school, classroom, content area, and student), to directly foster teacher development, improve ELA instruction, and increase student learning. As a member of the instructional and administrative team, the Literacy Coach/Reading Teacher will provide student-centered coaching services and professional development that support the implementation of the school’s literacy program. Because building relationships is a critical component of this learning environment, the team works together to identify student needs that may be barriers to success. The Literacy Coach/Reading Teacher will lead the school’s collaborative efforts to consistently analyze student progression data and communicates with students, parents, and other team members about student progress and plans for next steps.
