About The Position

Rosalyn Yalow is looking for a Literacy Analytics Manager (LAM) who will be responsible for supporting student achievement in English language arts. The LAM will report to the Director of Literacy and analyze individual student progress to help the Director of Literacy target data-driven intervention supports to students in grades K-8. In collaboration with teachers, the LAM will analyze data collected from the CKLA, STEP Literacy, NWEA, and 2025 NYS ELA assessments, to identify skill deficits and develop intervention plans for individual students. The LAM will oversee student data management, support classroom teachers in selecting student groups for small-group differentiated reading instruction, and work with assigned students.

Requirements

  • Proven data analysis skills and the ability to translate this knowledge into student and teacher action plans.
  • Ability to produce detailed data reports and projections as needed, supporting decision-making processes without conflicts.
  • 3+ years of elementary classroom experience.
  • Familiarity with the Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) curriculum, Fundations®, and other literacy intervention programs.
  • Good interpersonal skills (communication, problem solving, team building, and collaboration) to share research-based instructional approaches with teachers and administrators and give advice on small-group interventions.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with PCs and basic software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Review past CKLA, STEP Literacy, NWEA, and 2025 NYS ELA assessments to identify students’ skill deficits and develop small intervention groups.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, the RTI team, and the Director of Literacy to ascertain prior intervention supports, if any, and use the above data to measure outcomes of all student interventions.
  • Track on-going student intervention plans, and provide data-driven feedback to the Director of Literacy.
  • Participate in grade-level meetings to help develop and implement plans.
  • Assist with the school’s literacy assessment procedures, data collection, and analysis.
  • Work with assigned students to close achievement gaps.
