About The Position

Learn more about us at www.lchcs.com Days/Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Other hours and/or days as needed for therapy or counseling sessions. Qualifications: Must possess a master's degree in social work or related field. Must be credentialed per South Carolina requirements for billing for services under Medicare/Medicaid. Must have at least two years' experience in therapeutic counseling/direct patient care directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Job duties include but are not limited to: Provide advanced level of counseling, group and family therapy and/or psychotherapy to clients and families as appropriate to the position. Prepare treatment plans, discharge plans and follow-up care programs. Provide therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as required. Collect data about patients through interview, case history, mental status examination, and/or observational techniques. Evaluate data to identify causes of problems and determine proper therapeutic approaches or referrals to other specialists. Consult with other therapists and related professionals as appropriate in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework. Provide and/or arrange for therapeutic interventions as appropriate for patients or clients in a crisis condition and for those with serious disturbance problems. Refer clients to appropriate social service agencies for financial assistance and other required services. Follow-up and determine reliability of treatment used; changing method or degree of therapy when indicated. Establish and maintain case files, referrals, and other related documents for the treatment of clients. Consult with other treatment agencies and individuals in relation to client/patient records, rights, and responsibilities. Provide clinical supervision to lower-level therapists and/or graduate social work students/interns as appropriate and/or counseling services to other client/patient professionals. May be required to provide formal teaching, consultation and in-service training to relevant professionals on the immediate and proper handling of referrals of a variety of matters. Participate in planning and implementation of quality assurance projects. Perform any other duties as assigned by your supervisor. Salary scales are a range of pay and offers are made to applicants based upon the requirements of the particular position. Applicants with “previous like skills” may not be given the same weight and consideration as “previous specific same skills”: i.e., For a Medical Receptionist position, “Previous clerical skills” may not be preferred over “Previous Medical Clerical Skills”
