About The Position

This is a dynamic role at the intersection of healthcare and technology, offering the opportunity to collaborate with laboratory staff, leadership, and IT teams to improve patient care! About the Role We are seeking a Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) Analyst to support and optimize our clinical laboratory information systems, including Epic, Beaker, middleware, and in-house applications. This role ensures seamless integration of lab workflows, instrument interfaces, and reporting functions while providing end-user support, training, and system maintenance. Schedule: Monday - Friday, does require a weekday and weekend on-call rotation. Hiring Range: Typically between $78,000/yr to $98,000/yr depending on experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field
  • 2+ years of LIS and middleware administration experience (Epic Beaker, SCC, Data Innovations)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Strong presentation and training skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Epic Beaker CP/AP within 1 year of hire required
  • Epic Principal Trainer qualification within 1 year of hire required

Nice To Haves

  • MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or equivalent certification preferred
  • Clinical Lab Sciences degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support LIS, Epic Beaker, and related lab systems
  • Build and manage test codes, billing, LOINC/CPT coding, and result files
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system/interface errors and vendor issues
  • Develop reports for lab leadership (quality, turnaround times, error tracking)
  • Implement upgrades, validate new software/interfaces, and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Provide training and documentation for LIS applications

Employees will also enjoy up to six paid holidays per year, depending on schedule.
