About The Position

The Liquor Manager directs and controls the operation of the liquor department, supervising and training liquor personnel while ensuring customer service and product quality, selection, and presentation. The role involves championing customer service programs, handling customer relations, promoting personalized service, liaising with vendors, and managing inventory and product displays. The manager is responsible for compliance with liquor sales laws, monitoring associate performance, scheduling personnel, and conducting daily inspections to maintain standards in the liquor department.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of all job duties within the Liquor Department.
  • Strong communication skills and good leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and workplace practices.
  • Understanding of company practices and liquor department policies.
  • Knowledge of state and federal liquor sales laws.
  • Ability to learn about liquor products and popular drink recipes.
  • Basic mathematics and metric measurement skills.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver objects up to approximately 80 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination.
  • Mental alertness for safe and accurate work completion.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in retail management or liquor sales.
  • Familiarity with profit and loss statements.
  • Previous experience in customer service roles.
