About The Position

Walt Churchill’s Market is looking for a Part-Time Liquor Cashier for our Perrysburg, OH location. Job Description: Liquor Cashiers report to the Beer/Liquor Manager and are responsible for providing customers with a fast and accurate transaction with the store's checkout system while delivering outstanding customer service. Basic math skills are important. Duties also include helping customers in locating store items, ensuring the Liquor department is clean and presentable, and maintaining any environmental services deemed necessary by store management. Schedule: The typical shifts for this position are between the hours of 10am-9pm. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Basic Liquor knowledge, required.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to frequently lift 5-25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service by promptly greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with alcohol purchases
• Provide customers with a fast and accurate transaction
• Confirm proper identification for any purchase of alcohol
• Utilize basic math skills to provide customers with accurate change
• Responsible for processing cash, check and electronic transactions accurately
• Bag customers’ groceries, keeping in mind the weight of each bag and separating unlike items
• Ensure checkout areas clean and neat
• Stock department inventory as directed
• Ensure proper fronting of stock in aisles and displays
• Ensures proper rotation of stock to ensure quality
• Answer incoming phone calls with the appropriate greeting and transfer when necessary
• Communicate with supervisor on duty/management regarding issues with equipment (e.g. scanners, scales, credit card machines, etc.) and supplies
• Any other tasks assigned
