Liquid Paint Specialist - Weekend Warrior Shift (Full-Time OR Part-Time Option Available!)
About The Position
The liquid paint c oati ng d epartment is responsible for in - house operations of applying decorative and functional liquid paint coating finishes on to various metal refrigerator and freezer parts. This department’s responsibilities include developing processes, determining application procedures, and liquid painting new pr oduct development and production parts to meet the company’s demand. The Liquid Paint Specialist will be responsible for operating the p aint booth equipment to meet production requirements . The y will work underneath the department supervisor to ensure production goals are achieved. Training and in-house certification will be provided for this specific position to the selected candidate (s).

Nice To Haves
- 3-5 years’ experience with liquid paint application equipment including paint booth systems.
- Ability to mix and modify paints if there is an issue with matching the original color using previous experience and deductive reasoning.
Responsibilities
- Operating specialized application equipment
- Proper cleaning and preparation of area s to be painted.
- Priming , sanding , and masking surfaces that have been re paired.
- Mixing primers, paints and clearcoats as needed
- Apply new liquid paint finish to cabinets or parts that have been restored to new condition and to new residential cabinets , meet ing all expected quality standards
- Create a color match paint based on provided formulas. Modify as needed.
- Wet sand and polish freshly painted surfaces as needed.
- Filling and labeling bottles of touch up paint for internal and ext ernal customers
- Appl ing excellent judgment and have the ability make decisions independently as well as communicate issues to the department lead and supervisor
- Monitoring the p aint booth and Nitro- Therm system functions and make process adjustments as needed.
- Collaborating with production and m aintenance personnel to ensure preve ntative maintenance is performed.
- Follow a daily, weekly , and monthly paint booth and mix room cleaning schedule.
