About The Position

This position is for a Liquid Pack Operator responsible for operating various filling equipment, including forklifts, tote fillers, bag-in-box, carton fillers, and labeling equipment. Key duties involve documenting production, managing the storage and transfer of processing and packaging materials to the plant floor, and ensuring accountability and preservation of raw material and finished goods inventories. The operator will also be responsible for the packaging of liquid eggs and egg products, which includes operating filling equipment, proper labeling, and ensuring finished product quality and compliance with regulatory guidelines. Additional responsibilities include performing sanitation and minor maintenance on packaging and labeling equipment, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring the readiness of machinery and the building. The role requires the ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs. Responsibilities

  • Make sure all sanitation procedures are complete and ready for production
  • Stock and sort product for packaging or filling and replenish packaging supplies
  • Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams and report malfunctions to manager
  • Inspect and remove defective packaging material
  • Start machine by engaging controls
  • Package product in the form in which it will be sent out
  • Record all information per training
  • Attach identification labels to finished packaged items
  • Clean packaging containers and prepare for product packing
  • Perform quality activities, training sessions and employee activity teams when needed
  • Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the SQF system
  • Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring
  • Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan and any other programs that support the SQF system and other 3rd party audits
  • Perform other duties as assigned
