About The Position

The Liquid Metal Bearing Design Engineer at Varex Imaging Corporation is responsible for designing and analyzing spiral groove liquid metal bearing systems. This role involves conducting feasibility studies, testing new designs, and directing support personnel in detailed design and prototype fabrication. The engineer will also provide essential design information for product and materials documentation.

Requirements

• Knowledgeable in the design, analysis, and integration of spiral-groove liquid metal bearings.
• Experienced in prediction and control of load bearing and rotor dynamic performance characteristics.
• Hands-on experience with successful liquid metal bearing design and integration.
• Familiarity with tribology of liquid metal bearings.
• Proficient in Solidworks and GD&T.
• Proficient in business tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software.
