About The Position

The Liquefied Petroleum Gas Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with regulations related to liquefied petroleum gas (LP Gas) storage, distribution, and usage. This role involves technical assessments, investigations, and providing education to local authorities and industry personnel regarding LP Gas laws and safety standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in the LP Gas industry involving storage, utilization, handling, or pipeline systems.
• Possession of a valid Class E driver license.
• Four years of relevant experience can substitute for the required education.
• Experience as an Agriculture & Consumer Protection Specialist can substitute on a year-for-year basis.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of basic LP gas tools and equipment (e.g., bar probe, CGI meter, manometer).
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to read and understand fabrication and assembly drawings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of LP Gas storage, supply, and distribution systems.
• Inspect the installation and operation of LP Gas systems and related equipment.
• Conduct inspections on the accuracy and function of measuring devices.
• Perform reinspections and site plan reviews for new and existing facilities.
• Investigate consumer complaints, accidents, and methods of sale and quantity.
• Complete and maintain inspection and investigative documentation.
• Provide technical assistance and education to local authorities and industry personnel regarding LP Gas laws, rules, and regulations.
• Perform other related duties as required.
