About The Position

Linux Systems and Integration Engineer at General Dynamics Mission Systems Join our team to help create mission-critical systems that keep people safe. Work on groundbreaking technologies and make a real impact. What You’ll Experience: Analysis of solution alternatives, recommend technical solutions that best meet the requirements. Hands-on work with RedHat Linux, system/server builds, and advanced troubleshooting. Engaging with cross-domain and boundary device solutions. Perform system integration, testing, and validation processes for new capabilities and regression use cases. Ensure systems meet security specifications. Responsible for the integration of system changes and new capabilities through the deployment to the production system. Engage in research, data analysis, and choose the best standards and tools for system development. Managing enterprise-level system and operational workstations, servers, and peripherals. You will experience and be willing to work in both an integration and testing enviroment as well and supporting an operational network environment as needed. What You Bring to the Table: Proficiency in systems engineering concepts and tools. Experience with requirements analysis and deployment preparation. Hands-on experience in Linux OS (Red Hat 7 and 8; PitBull 7 and 8) Extensive Linux command line experience. Ability to analyze and resolve system design issues. Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture Frameworks and project management principles. Proficiency in OS and hardware/software troubleshooting and performance tuning. Ability to apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and address vulnerabilities. Requirements

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a specialized area; or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a Polygraph. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
A minimum of an IAT Level II (DoD 8570/8140.01) certification is required at the time of hire: e.g., CompTIA Security+, GSEC, SSCP, and CCNA-Security.
