About The Position

INflow Federal is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to support our Navy program. NNSY’s mission is to safely return warships to the Fleet on time and within budget. The Systems Administrator will support the administration, maintenance, and operation of enterprise IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and compliant system operations in support of shipyard and Fleet readiness. Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience supporting secure networks and mission-critical systems.
  • Experience applying DISA STIGs and DoD cybersecurity policies to Unix/Linux systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience providing Tier II/III system support.
  • Familiarity with network services, system monitoring tools, and enterprise backup solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related discipline
  • Seven (7) years of experience administering Unix/Linux systems in enterprise or DoD environments.
  • DoD Top Secret clearance is required.
  • Please note that INflow Federal is a defense contractor. Pursuant to our government contracts, candidates must be US Citizens to be considered for employment.
  • Some travel may be required: Must have valid driver’s license and transportation. This is subject to change at the direction of the customer.
  • Candidate must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have willingness to perform duties not listed in the job description as required by INflow and our customer.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Unix/Linux operating systems in classified and unclassified environments.
  • Perform system patching, upgrades, hardening, and vulnerability remediation in accordance with DISA STIGs.
  • Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts; troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues.
  • Manage user accounts, access controls, and system permissions.
  • Support backups, disaster recovery, and system restoration activities.
  • Provide Tier II/III support and participate in after-hours or surge operations as required.
  • Maintain system documentation and support change management processes.
  • Collaborate with network, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to support operational requirements.
