Linux Systems Administrator I
About The Position
ClearEdge is hiring a Linux Systems Administrator to support a computing environment serving analysts and developers performing data science and advanced modeling for the Intelligence Community. In this role, you will maintain the security posture, performance, and reliability of Linux-based systems across multiple environments, ensuring stable operations for development, test, and production workloads. You will serve as a key technical resource for system health, monitoring, compliance, and user support, helping transform system metrics into actionable insights while working closely with cross-functional technical teams.
Requirements
- TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
- Three (3) or more years of system administration experience in this environment
- Experience administering Linux systems in production environments
- Experience maintaining and administering virtual machines on Linux and Windows
- Experience administering systems in AWS environments
- Experience maintaining system compliance and accreditation
- Experience configuring and using monitoring tools such as Nagios, Splunk, or Elastic
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues in custom software environments
- Experience coordinating system administration activities across multiple teams or organizations
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain an IAT Level II certification within 180 days of start date
Nice To Haves
- Experience with configuration and system state management tools such as Ansible or DSC
- Experience using source control tools such as Git
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience writing technical documentation
- Experience maintaining Elasticsearch or Elastic Stack products
- Experience identifying and resolving security advisories and applying vendor patches
- Experience supporting development, test, and production environments
- Current IAT Level II certification
Responsibilities
- Managing user accounts and access controls across Linux environments
- Maintaining the security posture of multiple system environments

- Coordinating system administration efforts across multiple technical teams
