About The Position

Victory Solutions is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dynamo Technologies. Victory Solutions is a Small Disadvantaged Business providing quality technical and engineering services to NASA, the DoD, Industry and academia. We are seeking Linux System Administrators to provide Information Technology support to the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, CA. As a Linux Systems Administrator, you'll play a key role in maintaining and securing both physical and virtual server environments. You'll work closely with mission users and engineering teams to ensure systems are optimized, secure, and ready to support NASA's most critical operations.

Requirements

• BS/MS in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration.
• Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux or similar enterprise distributions.
• Familiarity with IT security best practices in Linux environments.
• Proficiency with LDAP, Windows environments, and scripting languages.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to obtain/access onsite at NASA JPL required.
• US Citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Configuration Management Systems like Ansible or Puppet.
• Some familiarity with scripting languages like Bash or Python.
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus.
• Previous experience supporting NASA JPL IT systems is desired.

Responsibilities

• Performing OS upgrades, patch installations, and system hardening.
• Managing certificates, port configurations, and security compliance.
• Identify common or frequent issues that are good candidates for automated solutions and propose improvements.
• Troubleshooting and resolving incidents while identifying long-term solutions.
• Collaborating with users to provide IT support and ensure system performance.
• Prioritize and track assignments and progress using Jira.
• Create new and update existing documentation regularly.
• Communicate progress clearly and frequently.
