MANTECH seeks a motivated and customer-focused Linux System Administrator to join our team in Southlands, Colorado. This position supports the ELINT Modernization effort and is part of a collaborative team delivering systems engineering, software development, testing, and configuration management services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of related experience; an additional 5 years of related experience might be substituted for a degree
  • Security+ certification
  • Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining enterprise IT systems
  • Experience managing and optimizing UNIX/Linux environments (installation, patching, performance tuning)
  • Experience providing incident identification, analysis, and resolution
  • Experience with executing security backups, recovery, and OS enhancement tasks
  • Experience with updating and migrating servers and services
  • Experience with maintaining detailed records, technical documentation, and change logs

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
  • Manage IT infrastructure and ensure system availability and performance
  • Perform day-to-day system monitoring, operations, and problem resolution
  • Diagnose and resolve issues at Tier 1 and Tier 2 support levels
  • Configure and manage UNIX/Linux operating systems and install/load OS software
  • Optimize system operations and perform resource utilization and capacity analysis
  • Perform system backups, disaster recovery, and service restoration procedures
  • Update and migrate servers to newer software versions
  • Implement OS enhancements to improve system reliability and performance
