Linux System Administrator needed for a direct-hire opportunity with SOC's client to work hybrid in Annapolis Junction, MD. Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph required for this role.
Maintain Linux operating systems (RHEL or SLES) and manage workloads.
Investigate and resolve complex problems related to system performance and security.
Perform software builds, upgrades, and patch installations as needed.
Utilize debugging tools for problem isolation and resolution.
Document processes and procedures clearly, focusing on mentoring and knowledge sharing.
Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related area of study OR equivalent work experience.
3+ years' HPC-related experience, ideally with large-scale HPC and parallel file system administration and support.
Technical skills in Linux operating systems, workload management systems, parallel file systems, networking, and security.
Direct experience with multiple programming and scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, C).
Organizational and analytical skills to isolate hardware and software problems.
