About The Position

Performs manual work within generally defined work instructions which contributes to the achievement of expected production volumes. Uses a variety of hand tools to prepare and apply Wear Resistant Materials such as rubber, ceramic tile, stone hard and ceramic bead to equipment and components related to the mineral and mining industry. Requirements

Computer skills: ability to use the computer for time tracking purposes
Understanding of lining materials and how they affect the performance of the product
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems with different complexities in standardized situations

Nice To Haves

2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

Performs manual work within generally defined work instructions which contributes to the achievement of expected production volumes
Uses a variety of hand tools to prepare and apply Wear Resistant Materials such as rubber, ceramic tile, stone hard and ceramic bead to equipment and components related to the mineral and mining industry
Identify different types of lining materials
Use safe rigging and overhead crane practice’s on various heavy metal shapes
Safe practices for hand grinding
Safe operation of Fork-Lift
Operate a saw to cut ceramic tiles, carbide tungsten and rubber
Mix and apply compounds used as adhesives
Apply various lining materials to various products as per blue prints and client specifications
Maintains safe operations by adhering to FLSmidth safety procedures and regulations
As part of job enrichment, and at the company’s discretion, cross training in other areas will be given
