About The Position

The position of CAT III Linguist involves providing essential interpretation and translation services to support military operations. The role requires linguists to transcribe and translate various source materials, including printed and audio formats, while also offering analysis and reporting on the translated content. The linguists will work in a dynamic environment, supporting 24/7 missions, which may necessitate shift work. They will be responsible for ensuring accurate and culturally relevant translations, particularly in the context of military interrogations and intelligence collection.

Requirements

• Native proficiency in Kurdish - Kurmanji and Kurdish - Badini preferred.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in interpretation/translation.
• ILR level 3 proficiency in both Target Language and English.
• Document exploitation skills required.
• In-depth geopolitical knowledge necessary.
• Computer literacy is essential.
• Must possess an ACTIVE TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance.
• Ability to pass a polygraph and CI Focus Interview.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with military operations or intelligence work.
• Familiarity with colloquial and slang expressions in the target language.
