Also responsible for the linen cuts for each day including but not limited to OR packs and every day linens(Blankets, sheets, towels, etc.)

Requirements

  • High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
  • Must have knowledge as to how to use and understand pagers.

Nice To Haves

  • Entry level position.
  • Experience in Linen Services, medical experience, and patient contact preferred.
  • On the job training will be provided by the team members and the linen services staff.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain logs required by the Linen Worker including Linen Log, Soiled Linen Log, Clean Linen Log, and Linen distribution sheet.
  • Perform linen and OR Pack cuts on a daily basis and weigh Clean and Soiled linen daily.
  • Deliver clean linen and pick up soiled linen throughout the facility and occasionally the outside buildings.
  • Communicate and work closely with the Linen Manager and the Hospitality Management Team, and keep constant communication with the Call Center.
  • Update lunch status in the EPIC System.
  • Neatly fold scrubs and place them into the machines throughout the facility and outer building.
  • Ensure that by 10:00AM the linen room is cleaned and organized by types of linen.
  • Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adhere to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
