About The Position

General Description: Under general supervision, responsible for the distribution of linen and for assuring that supplies are available in an appropriate condition when needed by a user department. Essential Responsibilities: Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Responsible for maintaining par levels of linen by managing linen items to meet stock requirements. Ensures accuracy of items ordered versus items received in department. Rotates and inspects linen for compromises in quality. Ensures that labels are accurate, legible, and exist on all carts and shelves for linen. Closely monitors cart inventory levels, pulling excess linen from returning carts. Makes needed cart and shelf revisions according to procedure. Supervises linen technologist assigned to facility. Responsible for timely and accurate processing operations of linen room. General Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of experience as a linen technician required.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Must have basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide.
• Must have good communication skills for establishing effective working relationships with staff and customers
